Sam Cohen in Baltimore wonders why Baltimore may see 70-degree weather in winter, but summer lows never drop a comparable 30 to 40 degrees BELOW normal. No July lows in the 30s, eh? Blame Canada. In winter, it can easily be 80 degrees in Florida, while short days and snow cover in Canada sink the mercury below zero. Mix it up, and we might see teens or 70s. In summer, long northern days and vanished snow allow even Canadians to warm up. Passing "cold" fronts just aren't very cold.
