Women's retreat begins today

Community of Christian Women, Inc. will host its annual Women's Faith Retreat from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the BWI Marriott Hotel, 1743 W. Nursery Road, Linthicum.

Centenary United Easter eggs available

The traditional handmade Easter eggs created by members of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shady Side are now available.

Shady Side Market and Renno's Market in Shady Side and Mali's Office Products in Deale have also volunteered to distribute them.

The quarter-pound chocolate-covered Easter eggs are available in four flavors-butter cream, chocolate, coconut and peanut butter and cost $2 each.

Glen Burnie Baptist to air free movie

Glen Burnie Baptist Church will hold a free screening of Facing the Giants from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow at 7524 Old Stage Road, Glen Burnie.

St. Andrew's to hold dance, pork dinner

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church will hold a pulled pork dinner and dance at 5 p.m. tomorrow at South River Park Club House, 1410 Circle Drive, Edgewater.

Proceeds will benefit the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and Volunteers in Mission.

The cost is $15.

Weekly yard sale is tomorrow

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Spaces are $15 for a 10-by-10 foot space, and $5 for tables.

Wis. choir to visit at Anchor Baptist

Anchor Baptist Church will host the Madrigal and Handbell Choir of Watertown, Wis. at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville.

The choir is from the Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown and will be accompanied by director of alumni service John Davis.

Gospel requiem set for Sunday

The St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Eastport United Methodist Church choir along with the Singers Madrigal will perform a gospel requiem at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at 1120 Spa Road, Annapolis, and at 10:30 a.m. at 926 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis. JoAnn Kulesza will direct both performances.

Captive Free concert is March 30

Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will present Captive Free in concert at 7 p.m. March 30 at 400 Benfield Road, Severna Park.

This concert will feature the six-member band, interactive programs, personal testimony, a puppet show and drama performance. Information: 410-544-8993

Youth to hold 30-hour fast

The Youth Ministry of Galilee Lutheran Church will hold a 30-hour fast against hunger from March 30 to 31 at 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena.

Participating youth, from sixth grade through high school, will not eat solid food after lunch March 30 until the celebratory meal at 6 p.m. March 31.

Adult members are asked to sponsor a participating youth by making a donation to World Vision.

Grace Baptist offers movie night, more

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach will hold the following events at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena:

One Night with the King will be aired for free at 7 tonight.

MasterLife classes at 6 p.m. Sundays through April 1, addressing the theme "The Disciple's Cross."

A study of Revelations at 6:30 p.m. April 4. The annual Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. April 7. This event will be for children younger than 12. Children older than 13 may help hide the eggs.

The Easter Sunday sunrise service at 7 a.m. April 8 and will be followed by breakfast in the Fellowship hall.

Grace also is giving away an assortment of gently used choir robes.

Consignment sale kicks off April 14

Annapolis Mothers of Multiples will hold its semi-annual consignment sale from 8 a.m. to noon April 14 at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Church, 375 Benfield Road, Severna Park.

Used baby furniture, maternity clothing, infant swings, strollers, infant walkers, portable cribs, toys and children's clothes from newborn through size 7 will be sold.

The fee is $1. No strollers, backpacks or outside bags are allowed.
