Fans should be satisfied, but it's hard to imagine anyone else will be much interested in TMNT, the fourth film to chronicle those anthropomorphized warrior reptiles known as the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

A franchise that dates back to their comic-book debut in 1984, the turtles - four brothers, named after Renaissance painters and trained as warriors by a rat named Splinter - began their lives as a spoof of superhero and martial-arts comics.

TMNT (Warner Bros.) Featuring the voices of Mitchell Whitfield, James Arnold Taylor, Mikey Kelly, Nolan North. Directed by Kevin Munroe. Rated PG. Time 90 minutes.
