On Mark Teixeira possibly coming to the Orioles as a free agent

If anybody is waiting for Teixeira to ride in on a white horse and save this franchise, the Orioles' front office included, they need a serious reality adjustment. He's a fine player, but, at the money he'll get, he probably isn't worth it.

[Peter] Angelos will really have to open his wallet for Tex and free-agent signings in '09. Should be interesting.

You know that won't happen. The king will call it being fiscally responsible. We'll be lucky to sign our own.
