Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Northeastern

Shooting -- Police responding to reported gunfire in the 2700 block of Hugo Ave. about 11 p.m. Monday found a 13-year-old boy lying outside a liquor store and bleeding from at least one bullet wound to the chest. The boy, a resident of the 2200 block of Cecil Ave., was admitted in critical condition to the pediatric intensive care unit at John Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made, and police knew of no motive for the shooting.

Eastern

Shootings -- Four teenage boys were sitting on a bench at a basketball court in the 200 block of Aisquith St. about 9 p.m. Monday when two unidentified men, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, fired several shots, hitting two of the youths in the legs. They were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The assailants were being sought.

Southwestern

Shooting -- A 42-year-old man was shot in the upper body about 12:10 a.m. yesterday outside his home in the 2900 block of Mosher St. He was reported in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern

Arrest -- Buddy Dietrich, 31, was arrested Monday at his home of the 3700 block of Hurlock Road in Middle River by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with robbing a man in the 1300 block of S. Charles St. about 2 a.m. March 10.

Baltimore County

Towson

Shooting -- Police continued to seek a young man who shot an 18-year-old in the face early Thursday in the first block of Wilfred Court in Towson Park. Police said the victim was stepping from his car directly behind the Maryland National Guard Armory on York Road near the Beltway about 1:20 a.m. when his assailant stepped from a black 1980s-model Chrysler, told him to "shut up," pulled out a handgun and shot him once in the face before driving away. The victim was treated at a hospital that police declined to name. Anyone with information about the shooting was urged to call precinct detectives at 410-887-5508.

Franklin

Burglaries -- Someone broke into two businesses in the 300 block of Business Center Drive on Monday, stealing shoes from SRI Shoe Warehouse and cutting open a safe at Champion Industries. It was not known whether property was removed from the safe. Power lines to alarms were cut.

Pikesville

Burglary -- Police were seeking two men seen leaving a house in the 8000 block of Douglas Ave. on Monday afternoon. After entering the house through a window, the men stole cash, jewelry, business papers and a camcorder.
