Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- Anthony Hawks, 28, was arrested Wednesday at his home in the 3700 block of Ravenwood Ave. on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the Feb. 11 shooting of Harold Robinson, 39, a security officer at Club International in the 2300 block of W. Baltimore St. A second suspect in the killing, Eugene D. Parker, 31, of the 500 block of S. Bentalou St., was arrested Feb. 15.

Shooting -- An 18-year-old was in a room on the second floor of a house in the 1600 block of Thomas Ave. about 7 p.m. yesterday when he was shot in the right leg. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.


Bank robbery -- A man suspected in several bank robberies this year is believed to have robbed Wachovia Bank at Southside Shopping Center in the 800 block of E. Fort Ave. about noon Tuesday of an undisclosed sum of money. Police said the man is a suspect in eight of Baltimore's 19 bank robberies this year.


Drug arrests -- Derrick Edwards, 26, of the 4000 block of Wabash Ave., and Albert Jones, 43, of the 2100 block of Maryland Ave., were arrested Monday on drug charges while seated in Edwards' car parked in the 100 block of W. North Ave. Seized from the car and the men's homes were at least 60 vials of crack cocaine, Clonidine pills -- a prescription drug used with methadone to give recovering addicts the effect of heroin -- and $119. Each was being held on $150,000 bond at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Robbery -- A man jumped over the counter at New Civic Carryout in the 400 block of W. Baltimore St. about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and stole an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register.


Burglary/arrest -- A man broke into a house in the 700 block of S. Ponca St. about 3 p.m. Wednesday, only to be attacked by the occupant and the occupant's son. The intruder -- whose identity was not known -- suffered multiple injuries, including a broken nose, and was being treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Baltimore County


Robbery -- A 23-year-old man was walking along Collinsdale Road near Deanwood Road about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of $50.


Burglary -- Two large flat-screen TVs worth $6,000 were stolen Tuesday from Avalon Nails in the 9900 block of Reisterstown Road.

Robbery -- A man armed with a knife entered T-Mobile in the 9900 block of Reisterstown Road about 11:25 a.m. Monday and stole three cell phones and an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register.


Burglary -- Two TVs, a sound system, cooking grill, space heater and telephone were stolen from an apartment in the 3700 block of Twin Lakes Court between Feb. 25 and Monday.
