A 66-year-old woman died after an early morning fire at her Cecil County mobile home yesterday, fire officials said.

Firefighters found Barbara J. Hensler, who lived in the 100 block of Inverness Drive in North East, in the bedroom of her trailer soon after authorities received a 911 call reporting smoke coming from the home at 9:22 a.m. Hen- sler was taken to Union Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The State Fire Marshal's office said the fire began in a small laundry area near Hensler's bedroom. The cause is under investigation.

It was unclear whether there was a working smoke alarm in the trailer. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.
