1 -- State championships won by area boys teams last spring (Howard in Class 2A).

3 -- Teams that have won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association championship meet in the past three years (Archbishop Curley, Gilman, McDonogh) after Mount St. Joseph had won five of the previous seven.

8:20.09 -- The time Broadneck's Matthew Centrowitz ran in the 3,000 meters at the Penn Relays last spring. It was the third-fastest in the storied meet's history and the nation's second-best time.

57 -- Western's margin of victory in last year's Class 3A state title meet. The Doves had 95 points while the Westlake girls had 38.

75 -- Points New Town's girls scored to finish in second place in last year's Class 1A state meet, just three points behind Williamsport.
