TODAY

Legislative hearing -- House of Delegates Economic Matters committee hears testimony at 1 p.m. on House Bill 724, legislation that would impose impact fees for companies that construct liquefied natural gas facilities. County council -- The Baltimore County Council will meet for a work session at 2 p.m. on the second floor at the County Court House, 400 Washington Ave., Towson. 410-887-3196.

Police meeting -- Baltimore County Police Precinct 09 (White Marsh) will hold a Police Community Relations Council meeting at 7 p.m. at the station, 8220 Perry Hall Blvd. Topics include area crime trends, law enforcement issues and community activities. 410-887-5035.

School board -- Baltimore County Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Education Support Services Building, Room 114, 6901 Charles St., Towson. The Building and Contracts Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m., followed by an open board session at 5 p.m. to discuss school board association events. A closed session will follow. 410-887-4126.

Association meeting -- Greater Jacksonville Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville Elementary School Library, 3400 Hillendale Heights Road, Phoenix. Baltimore County Executive James T. Smith Jr. is tentatively scheduled to address the group.

Design review -- The Baltimore County Office of Planning Design Review Panel will meet at 6 p.m. in Room 407, Courts Building, 401 Bosley Ave., Towson. 410-887-3480.

Police meeting -- Baltimore County Police Precinct 02 (Woodlawn) will hold a Police Community Relations Council meeting at 7 p.m. at the station, 6424 Windsor Mill Road. 410-887-6800.

THURSDAY

Abuse prevention -- The Baltimore County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council will hold its monthly meeting to develop strategies and priorities that aim to meet the substance abuse prevention and treatment needs of the county at 8 a.m. at the County Court House, 400 Washington Ave., Mezzanine Level, Executive Conference Room. 410-887-3828.

Cancer coalition -- The Cancer Coalition will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Drumcastle Center, 6401 York Road, third floor, to discuss plans for cancer prevention, education, screening, and treatment. 410-887-3456.
