Indoor yard sale at St. Andrews

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Spaces are $15 for a 10-by-10-foot space and $5 for tables.

Tables are first come, first served.

Reservations are suggested.

Glen Burnie church offers sermon series

Oakwood Wesleyan Church will hold the Weathering the Storms of Life sermon series at 11 a.m. Sunday through March 18 at 505 Oakwood Station Road, Glen Burnie.

Pastor Ken Clendaniel will speak on "The Thunder Claps of Relations Problems" on Sunday and "The Flood Waters of Despair" on March 18.

St. Athanasius plans buffet dinner

St. Athanasius Catholic Church will sponsor an oyster and ham buffet dinner from noon to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the rectory, 4708 Prudence St., Brooklyn.

The menu will include oysters, oyster stew, crackers, baked ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, coffee, iced tea and dessert.

The cost is $ 20 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children younger than 5. The cost for carryout is $20.

Dinner to benefit Habitat projects

A St. Patrick's Day dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 17 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer to raise money for Arundel Habitat for Humanity's project to build houses for less-fortunate families in Anne Arundel County.

The dinner will include corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, Irish chicken stew, salad, rolls, beverages and desserts, along with raffles, door prizes and Irish music.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. The church is at 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie.

The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 5.

Women's Club plans Prayer Breakfast

The GFWC Women's Club of Linthicum Heights will hold its 30th annual ecumenical Prayer Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, 200 School Lane, Linthicum.

The Rev. Steve Hall will speak, and vocalist Theresa Fries, pianist Bernie Simon and flutist Susan March will be featured.

Proceeds will benefit Sarah's House, the Fouse Center and I Can.

Tickets are $10, and reservations are required.

Easter egg sale at Jenkins Memorial

Jenkins Memorial Church will hold a homemade Easter egg sale at the church in Pasadena.

The Ladies Aid group will sponsor the event and is taking orders for delivery by April 1, Palm Sunday.

Choose from milk or dark chocolate coating over a vanilla, chocolate, coconut cream, butter cream, milk chocolate or peanut butter egg.

Women's retreat set for March 23-24

Community of Christian Women Inc. will host its annual Women's Faith Retreat from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. March 23 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24 at the BWI Marriott Hotel, 1743 W. Nursery Road.

Wisconsin choir at Anchor Baptist

Anchor Baptist Church will host the Madrigal and Handbell Choir of Watertown, Wis., at 10:30 a.m. March 25 at 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville.

The choir from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown will be accompanied by John Davis, director of alumni service.

Consignment sale planned for April 14

Annapolis Mother of Multiples will hold its semiannual consignment sale from 8 a.m. to noon April 14 at St. Martins in the Field, 375 Benfield Road, Severna Park.

Gently used baby furniture, maternity clothing, infant swings, strollers, infant walkers, portable cribs, toys and seasonal children's clothes through size 7 will be available.

The fee is $1. No strollers, backpacks or outside bags are allowed.
