Eighth-ranked Washington College beat visiting Elizabethtown, 16-2, yesterday after outscoring the Blue Jays 9-0 in the second half.

Chris Read scored five goals for the Shoremen (2-1) in the win over the Blue Jays (1-1) who scored the first goal of the game.

Women

No. 3 Maryland 15, Richmond 9 -- The visiting Terps (4-0) scored 10 first-half goals to overpower the Spiders (3-3). Casey Magor scored five points with one goal and four assists for Maryland. Dana Dobbie and Krista Pellizzi scored three goals each. The Terps outshot Richmond 45-29.
