HARRIET TUBMAN DAY

Celebrate the life of Underground Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman in Annapolis tomorrow. State senators and delegates will present the Harriet Tubman Day proclamation and citation to the Tubman family at the State House. A walking tour of historic Annapolis will follow the State House ceremonies and will end in a tour of the recently restored Wiley H. Bates High School, once the only African-American high school in Anne Arundel County.

POKEMON COMPETITION

Try your hand against would-be Pokemon masters Sunday at the Pokemon trading-card game 2007 Maryland State Championships in Rockville. The competition is open to all ages. Players will be divided into juniors, seniors and masters divisions based on age. Prizes will be awarded through eighth place in each division. First-place finishers will receive an allowance to attend the national championships in July at the Origins International Game Expo in Columbus, Ohio.

'CSI: BALTIMORE'

After 10 years of examining corpses and investigating crime scenes with the Baltimore County Police Department, author and Towson University professor Dana Kollmann is uniquely qualified to conduct the program "CSI: Baltimore" at the Rosedale Library branch of the Baltimore County Public Library Saturday. Kollmann will discuss her book Never Suck a Dead Man's Hand, a memoir of her time as a crime-scene investigator.

ANDREA MITCHELL SPEAKS

NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell will discuss her 2005 memoir, Talking Back, tonight at University of Maryland University College in Adelphi. Mitchell has been the network's chief foreign-affairs correspondent since 1994 and has covered every presidential election since 1976. She won the John F. Kennedy School of Government's 2005 Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism and the Radio-Television News Directors Association 2004 Leonard Zeidenberg Award.
