Education

Community College of Baltimore County appointed Melissa Hopp as vice president of administrative services for the multicampus institution. Also named as college vice presidents earlier were: Bruce Berman, Rich Lilley and Mark McCulloch.

Loyola College in Maryland has selected Timothy Law Snyder as vice president of academic affairs for the Jesuit-run college. He has been a dean at Fairfield University.

Sylvan Learning Center named Joseph Adams as chief marketing officer for the Baltimore-based personal and online tutoring services company.

Health care

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center selected Heidi Minken to be director of development for the East Baltimore hospital. She is responsible for planning, implementation and development of fund-raising efforts.

Legal and insurance

Franchise & Business Law Group said David G. Ross has affiliated with the Baltimore firm. He will serve Washington-area clients from offices in Bethesda.

Nonprofits

Providence Center Inc., a not-for-profit provider of employment, vocational, retirement, medical and adult day care and transportation services in Anne Arundel County, named Michael Walbert community division director and Bartholomew O'Reilly manager of its art institute.

On the board

The Living Classrooms Foundation appointed Atwood Collins III, executive vice president of M&T Bank Corp., as chairman of the foundation's board of trustees.

Real estate

RKS Realty Inc., based in Bel Air, announced that Donnell Smith and Tom Mottley are the new owners of the commercial realty brokerage firm. The firm provides commercial realty leasing and development services in the Interstate 95 corridor of Baltimore, Harford and Cecil counties.

First Republic Mortgage said Ray Dickerson, a certified mortgage planning specialist, has joined the Annapolis-based firm.

Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT appointed Terri Harrington as a vice president of the firm.

Professional services

KCI Technologies Inc. said Franklin R. Snyder was elected a vice president of the Hunt Valley-based consulting engineering company. He will head the firm's mechanical and electrical division.

NexTone, based in Gaithersburg, appointed Joseph Kuhn as chief financial officer.

TruePresence appointed Albert Calvin as chief technology officer; Casey Boccia, director of marketing; Chris Finnegan, interactive production manager; and Julianne Brilliant as search marketing manager for the Baltimore-based Internet marketing services provider.
