Roberts' agent, O's expected to talk

Pieper in Florida for discussions on contract extension

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. -- Mark Pieper, the agent for Brian Roberts, will be in town this weekend and is expected to meet with Orioles officials to try to construct a contract extension for the club's standout second baseman.

Pieper said last night that he is hoping to meet with Orioles vice president Jim Duquette and executive vice president Mike Flanagan tomorrow or Monday.
