Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Northwestern

Arrests -- Two men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder and robbery -- driving a vehicle into a gas station in the 3300 block of Garrison Blvd. on Nov. 25 and stealing a cash register containing an undisclosed sum of money after nearly striking the attendant. Both were being held at Central Booking and Intake Center. Arrested separately this week were Corey Parker, 31, of the 7200 block of Fairbrook Road in Woodlawn, and Don Armstead, 31, of the 2200 block of Tucker Lane.

Northeastern

Shooting -- Police were seeking a gunman who shot a 34-year-old man in the left leg about 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Garrett Ave. The victim was reported in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Anyone with information was asked to call detectives at 410-396-2444.

Western

Theft -- A 40-year-old woman was standing in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man stole her cell phone valued at nearly $500.

Southern

Robbery -- Police were seeking four young males who robbed a 45-year-old man of $50 in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. about 1 p.m. Wednesday, moments after he cashed a check at a nearby liquor store.

Central

Theft -- Between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into a 2000 Audi parked in the first block of S. Eutaw St. and stole a leather jacket and laptop computer -- items valued at $2,300. About 9:30 p.m., a doorman at Dynasty Show Bar in the 400 block of E. Baltimore St. alerted police after he saw two men leave a laptop computer on the bar. It was identified as having come from the Audi and was returned to the owner. There were no arrests.

Assault -- A 20-year-old student at Peabody Institute was walking in the first block of E. Franklin St. about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when three teenage boys blocked his path. The victim was struck in the face and suffered at least one broken tooth. A witness identified the youths to police as students of a nearby school, and arrests were expected.

Burglary -- Someone broke into Charm City Cupcakes in the 300 block of N. Charles St. on Tuesday night or early Wednesday and removed $110 from a cash register.

Southeastern

Robbery try/assault -- Police were seeking two gunmen who fired shots at a 28-year-old man during an attempted robbery in the 4000 block of E. Pratt St. about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday. When the victim fled after refusing to give up his money, both men fired several shots at him before riding off in a car. The victim was not injured.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Drug arrest -- A Florida man was stopped Tuesday afternoon by Maryland Transportation Authority Police for speeding on northbound Interstate 95. Following a drug-sniffing dog's alert for drugs in the vehicle, police found 14 grams of cocaine, 19 tablets of OxyContin and several cartons of untaxed cigarettes. Charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances and untaxed cigarettes was Michael Anthony Martins Jr., 20, of Poinciana.

North Point

Robbery -- Police were seeking two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, who robbed Dot's clothing store in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. of an undisclosed sum in cash and coins about 2 p.m. Tuesday.
