Competition at 1st one of the only position battles

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. -- Miguel Tejada, the team's star player, isn't unhappy. There has been no steroid controversy to dominate clubhouse conversation. And there are precious few position battles to watch.

The first two weeks of spring training for the Orioles have been relatively drama-free, which has been just fine for manager Sam Perlozzo, who has put his club through what several players have described as one of the toughest camps they have participated in.
