Johnson's 30 points lift Poly past Douglass

Old Mill and Fallston also advance to semis

Sheneika Johnson scored 30 points and Teaunsha Johnson added 24 points to lead Poly over Douglass, 100-54, yesterday.

Charda Lomax scored 41 points for the Ducks, but they weren't enough to defeat the Engineers (16-6).

Poly will play Milford Mill, which defeated Hereford, 57-45, in a 2A North region semifinal game.

Old Mill 67, Glen Burnie 49 -- Ashley Jones scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help the Patriots beat the Gophers in the 4A East regional quarterfinal game. Old Mill will face South River, which defeated Chesapeake, 61-34, in the semifinals.

Fallston 48, Annapolis 39 -- The Cougars defeated the Panthers in a 3A East quarterfinal. Fallston will play the River Hill-Aberdeen winner in the semifinals.

Southside Academy 71, Forrestville 36 -- Keirrah Hicks scored 31 points and Sheree Ledbetter added 30 to help the Jaguars defeat the Knights in the 1A South state quarterfinals.

Elkton Christian 82, Harford Christian 71 -- Glenn Segure had 32 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals as the Crusaders (22-7) beat Harford Christian.

Southern 71, Kent Island 45 -- Brittany Wiseman scored 17 points and collected 10 steals as the Bulldogs (18-5) defeated the Buccaneers (15-5) in a 2A East regional game.

Century 48, Liberty 38 -- Kate Schwarzmann had 18 points, seven assists and five steals, as the Knights (16-7) defeated Liberty. Century was fouled 23 times.
