Hospice offers bereavement support

Hospice of the Chesapeake's Spiritual and Bereavement Care Center is offering a 10-week support group for people ages 18 and over who are grieving after the death of a loved one as a result of suicide.

The group will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday from March 8 through May 10 at Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway in Annapolis.

Screenings offered at Arundel Mills

Baltimore-Washington Medical Center will be offering the following activities and screenings next month at its Outreach Center at Arundel Mills mall, between Dave and Buster's and Entrance 4:

Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., computerized neck and back screenings.

Monday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., blood pressure and anemia screenings.

Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Joslin Diabetes Center will discuss "It's More Than Just Glucose."

Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., blood pressure screenings.

March 8, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., foot screenings.

March 12, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., blood pressure screenings.

March 15, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., blood pressure screenings.

March 16, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., computerized neck and back screenings.

March 19, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., county Department of Aging will provide information on its services.

March 20, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., blood pressure screenings.

March 22, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., foot screenings.

March 26, blood pressure screenings.

Program offers growth fitness

Hospice of the Chesapeake and Ridgely Retreat are offering a personal growth fitness program from March to June.

"Nia for Healing" combines Eastern and Western movements and philosophies.

Nia is well-suited for people who are grieving. It is self-paced and no prior dance or movement experience is needed.

The Nia sessions will be held March 11, April 22, May 20 and June 10, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Ridgely Retreat, 203 Ridgely Ave. in Annapolis.

The registration fee is $10.
