Coming up / / UMES at Coppin Center tonight (7:30 p.m.); at Florida A&M on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.); Morgan State at Coppin Center on Saturday (4 p.m.)

Comment / / Junior point guard Darryl Roberts, out for two months with a broken foot, has returned to the Eagles' rotation, which could make them a much bigger factor in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

Loyola (17-12, 12-6)

Coming up / / Fairfield in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference quarterfinal in Bridgeport, Conn., Saturday (10 p.m.)

Comment / / The Greyhounds will be the third seed in the MAAC tournament, behind Marist and Niagara, at the Arena at Harbor Yard. Loyola last won more than 17 games in 1970-71, before it moved up to Division I.

Maryland (22-7, 8-6)

Coming up / / at Duke on Wednesday (9 p.m., ESPN); North Carolina State at Comcast Center on Saturday (3:30 p.m., chs. 2, 7)

Comment / / The Terps won at Cameron Indoor Stadium in 2000, '01 and '05. The Wolfpack had lost 14 straight in College Park until it won the past two meetings there, in 2004 and '05.

Morgan State (11-15, 9-6)

Coming up / / Howard at Hill Field House tonight (7:30 p.m.); at Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.); at Coppin State on Saturday (4 p.m.)

Comment / / The final week of the regular season will be pivotal for the Bears, as they could be seeded anywhere from second to seventh in the MEAC tournament, which will be played March 6-10 in Raleigh, N.C.

Mount St. Mary's (10-19, 9-9)

Coming up / / Northeast Conference quarterfinal on Thursday, opponent and site to be determined

Comment / / Games tonight involving others will determine whether the Mountaineers are seeded fourth - which would get them a home game - fifth, or sixth in the NEC. They last won an NEC tournament game in 2000.

Navy (14-15, 4-10)

Coming up / / at Bucknell in Patriot League quarterfinal on Wednesday (7 p.m.)

Comment / / The Midshipmen share sixth place with Army, but a tiebreaker relegated them to the seventh seed and a trip to second-seeded Bucknell, where they lost by eight in early January.

Towson (14-16, 8-10)

Coming up / / UNC Wilmington in Colonial Athletic Association tournament first round at Richmond Coliseum on Friday (6 p.m.)

Comment / / The seventh-seeded Tigers beat the Seahawks by 14 in their lone regular-season meeting. In its first five seasons in the CAA, Towson went 1-4 in the first round. The year it advanced, it lost in the quarterfinals.

UMBC (11-18, 7-9)

Coming up / / Maine in America East quarterfinal in Boston on Saturday (2:30 p.m.)

Comment / / The fifth-seeded Retrievers open tournament play at Agganis Arena with a rubber match, as they split with fourth-seeded Maine. The Black Bears, also 7-9, won the tiebreaker by handing Vermont its only conference loss.

UMES (3-24, 0-15)

Coming up / / at Coppin State tonight (7:30 p.m.); at Hampton on Wednesday (8 p.m.); at Howard on Saturday (4 p.m.)

Comment / / The Hawks are the nation's only Division I team that is winless in conference play. They have three more chances, albeit all on the road, to shed that ignominy.
