City police identify woman shot in car

Police yesterday identified Stacie Watkins, 43, of Howard County as the woman found sitting in her car Friday afternoon in Northwest Baltimore with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Watkins remained in critical but stable condition at Sinai Hospital yesterday, according to a police spokesman.

Police said they have no suspects or motives in the shooting, which occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Friday in the 5300 block of Beaufort Ave.

Man, 21, dies of stab wounds

A West Baltimore man died of stab wounds early Saturday after he was discovered seriously injured and lying in the street at Fulton Avenue and West Pratt Street, police said yesterday.

William R. Duck IV, 21, of the 1800 block of W. Lanvale St. was declared dead at Maryland Shock Trauma Center at 2:25 a.m., according to a police spokesman.

Police were summoned about 12:30 a.m. after the victim's girlfriend and her cousin found him lying in the street, the spokesman said.
