Theresa Cangialosi, whose aromatherapy massages were legendary in Baltimore, once had a small aromatherapy bar and "boutique massage studio" in Fells Point called Life Smells Good. But her interest in aromatherapy and natural skin and body care expanded, and she did less and less massage therapy. The result is a new shop a couple of blocks south of the old one; a new name, SoBotanical; and a new focus. The bad news? No more aromatherapy massages.

SoBotanical is a light-filled space done in browns, cream and olive. It offers a full new line of fine natural body care called SoBo Essentials, as well as custom blends (SoBo Apothecary). There are more than 180 essential oils, natural perfumes and high-quality homemade soaps.

SoBotanical carries organic and natural body care products such as plant-based Pangea Organics, which you may have heard about from Oprah, and Earth Mama Angel Baby, for body care through pregnancy and childbirth. This spring look for the Bella Lucce line, with items like Chocolate Silk Bath Bubbles, Hemp & Cucumber Face Cream, and Shea Butter Bath Bars that sound good enough to eat.
