Jeffrey A. Gunther, a retired home renovator and drywall installer, died Feb. 14 of cancer at his Highlandtown home. He was 50.

Mr. Gunther was born in Baltimore and raised in Dundalk and Highlandtown. He attended Patterson High School.

He restored homes for more than two decades until retiring about 10 years ago on a medical disability.

Mr. Gunther enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was an active member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in East Baltimore.

Plans for services were incomplete.

Survivors include his mother, Maude E. Gunther of Highlandtown; a brother, Stanley W. Gunther of Brunswick; a sister, Barbara A. Gunther of Parkville; his longtime companion, Carol Karaneris; and her 15-year-old son, Stewart Kopczenski.
