Terps try to avoid playing numbers game

COLLEGE PARK -- There is one thing Maryland coach Gary Williams said he has learned not to discuss with his players, and it's the very topic basketball junkies can't stop yapping about - what it will take to make the NCAA tournament.

"I think we're trying to stress, `Let's just play, and see where it takes us,' rather than, `We have to do this to get to this,'" Williams said. "It doesn't make any sense. I never talk about it with the players. You just talk about the next game. I've learned over the years not to do it."
