What's the point? -- Amateur photographers with high aspirations and (nearly) empty wallets can indulge themselves here. This site will teach you how to create your own home studio, stocked with a backdrop, soft flash diffuser and studio lighting for only a fraction of the cost.

What to look for --If photographers get tired of shooting typical subjects like buildings and sunsets, the site also has some photo projects that, if done right, end up with stunning results. The burning light bulb project has a few risks -- broken glass and fire, mainly -- but the final product can be well worth them. (Just don't burn your house down.)
