5 Things I Have To Have Now

Brian Boston makes Valentine's Day sweet at the Milton Inn in Sparks. The 40-year-old chef can create a chocolate box to hold a surprise engagement ring or whip up a Lovely Raspberry Tart to win a lover's heart. "We decorate ... so it's extremely romantic in the restaurant," says Boston, a native of Baltimore County who has spent the past 26 years in the kitchen on this holiday. If you're thinking of making a dinner at home, Boston has one suggestion: Keep it simple, "so you can spend the most time with the person." Sweet indeed.

1. W. Scott Broadfoot painting "I really like his work. He's local artist, kind of a traditional realist who does oils and still lifes. I happened across his stuff a while ago in the doctor's office. He had painted a gift for the doctor."

2. Moose Munch from Harry & David's "It's addictive. I like the traditional one with cashews and almonds. Very buttery. It's caramel corn with an upgrade."

3. Tickets to The Color Purple on Broadway "I like the story. Obviously, I've seen the movie. And I like Oprah Winfrey."

4. Bottle of Krug "It's the best champagne you can get. It's a blend. They save juice from multiple years and mix it together to recreate the same taste every year. When you drink Krug, you know you're drinking Krug. It's always the same."

5. Dinner with friends at the Milton Inn "I never get to eat here. It's a beautiful place, and I envy the people who get to enjoy themselves here."
