COLLEGE PARK -- With the inevitable fall in the polls that will come from losing to an unranked opponent, not to mention a two-game losing streak, the fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team returned to Comcast Center yesterday badly in need of the comforts of home.

Luckily, the opponent, Boston College, provided the basketball equivalent of fuzzy slippers and a glass of warm milk, with a poor second-half shooting performance, which the Terps fully exploited, on the way to a 71-39 win before 10,114.
