Known as girlfriends' getaways, chick trips, women's wanderings - whatever you call them, for-women-only vacations are becoming increasingly popular. Here are a few possibilities:

KN Karen Neuburger, a brand perhaps best known for its sleepwear, has launched a series of KN Getaways that also raise money for breast cancer research. One is the Girlfriends' Retreat Getaway to Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Mass., April 19-22. Featured are activities such as yoga and hiking, wellness lectures, spa treatments and gourmet meals. Guests will receive KN pajamas, lounge socks and a copy of Karen Neuburger's book, The Secret Language of Girlfriends. The cost is $1,670 per person for a deluxe room, which includes a $340 per person credit toward spa, sports and wellness services. In addition, $150 of each booked package will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For information, go to karenneuburger.com/getaways or, to book, call 800-742-9000.

At the Captain Lindsey House in Rockland, Maine, a Pamper Yourself - Ladies Only Weekend, Friday-Feb. 11, is geared to the "Valentine-less." The two-night package includes premier accommodations, breakfasts, a choice of massage or facial, pedicure, wine and brew tasting and locally made chocolates. The package starts at $350 per person.
