A brief in the Maryland section yesterday incorrectly suggested that a reading of 30 parts per million would set off a carbon monoxide detector. That is true for specialized machines used by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, to meet federal standards for the workplace. A typical home carbon monoxide detector will not sound until detecting 70 parts per million for at least one hour.

A Page 1A article yesterday about figure skater Kimmie Meissner's endorsement deals incorrectly described her Subway commercial. Her television spot is one of a series that includes NFL player Reggie Bush, but she is not in the commercial with the New Orleans Saints running back.

The Sun regrets the errors.
