Skatepark

The lowdown -- Support a local cause and head to the Skatepark of Baltimore Benefit Show at the Sidebar Tavern on Saturday. The entertainment includes Evancipation from the Washington-based drum 'n' bass/electronica group Robot Death Squad, ODJ of Dirtbox Radio, local reggae and drum 'n' bass outfit Riddim Ryderz and Alpha DJ.

Jeff Daniels sings

The lowdown -- Fans of Jeff Daniels' films (Dumb and Dumber, The Squid and the Whale) might not be as familiar with his music. Also a singer/songwriter, he brings an evening of music and stories to the Gordon Center on Saturday. He'll play songs from his album If William Shatner Can, I Can Too and talk about his movies and life in the Midwest.

Big Payback

The lowdown -- Tomorrow, a number of local groups come together at Rams Head Live for The Big Payback - A Night of Tribute to James Brown. The list of performers includes Soul'd Out, Written Prisms, Higher Hands and the Boogie Hustlers.
