St. Andrew's to hold weekly yard sale

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Spaces are $10 for a 10-by-10 foot space, and $5 for tables.

Tables are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Knights of Columbus to present awards

Our Lady of the Chesapeake Knights of Columbus Council 10881 will host its annual awards ceremony at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the Gathering Place at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church, 8325 Ventnor Road, Pasadena.

This award ceremony will honor and recognize a law enforcement officer, firefighter, EMT, teacher, family and knight of the year. A reception will follow.

Basket bingo set for tomorrow

The Community of Christian Women, Inc. will sponsor basket bingo at 2 p.m. tomorrow at St. Rose of Lima Church, 410 E. Jeffrey St., Brooklyn.

This event will have more than 20 games and 3 raffles.

Food will be available for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the CCW's Women's' Faith Retreat in March.

The cost is $18. Advance ticket purchases will be discounted.

Bible 101 class is in session Sunday

Bible 101 will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Galilee Lutheran Church, 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena.

This six-session class introducing the Bible will be taught by Tim Merritt. All materials will be provided.

Jazz concert scheduled for Feb. 4

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and Day School will present a jazz concert at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater.

There will be a pre-concert lecture and a presentation by jazz saxophonist Cam Collins or the U.S. Naval Academy Band and Mike Noonan of the Unified Jazz Ensemble.

The cost of $15 is tax-deductible.

Science society to meet Feb. 7

The Christian Science Society will hold its monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Feb. 7 and every Sunday at 101 First Ave., SE, Glen Burnie.

The meetings will focus on a spiritual approach to health and healing.

New Life to hold youth praise event

New Life Church Youth Ministry will hold a youth praise and worship event at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at New Life Church, 7521 Connelley Drive, Hanover.

This event will feature several youth dance groups, drama teams, singers, choirs and poetry ministry.
