Karen L. Turkington, a domestic worker and homemaker, died Jan. 17 of multiple organ failure at Franklin Square Hospital Center. The White Marsh resident was 52.

Karen Lynn Arnold was born in Baltimore and raised in Carney. She attended Perry Hall High School.

"She spent most of her life working for Bay Restoration Inc., a fire restoration company, and several maid services including Merry Maids," said her former husband, Craig T. Turkington of Ellicott City.

Mrs. Turkington enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Plans for a memorial service were incomplete yesterday.

Also surviving are a son, Shawn T. Turkington of Carney; a daughter, Jamie L. Bell of White Marsh; her father and stepmother. Dale Arnold and Margaret Arnold of Kingsville; a brother, Robert Arnold of Leonardtown; two stepbrothers, Tim Simms of Forest Hill and Chris Arnold of Patuxent in Charles County; and a sister, Stacey Arnold of Baltimore.
