TODAY

Police meeting -- Baltimore County police will hold Police Community Relations Council meetings at 7 p.m. at Precinct 12 (North Point), 1747 Merritt Blvd., (410-887-7337); and at 7:30 p.m. at Precinct 06 (Towson) at the Community Resource Center in Hillendale Shopping Center, 6877 Loch Raven Blvd. (410-887-5933). Topics will include area crime trends, law enforcement issues and community activities.

School board -- Baltimore County Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Education Support Services Building, Room 114, 6901 Charles St., Towson. The Building and Contracts Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m., followed by an open board session at 5 p.m. to discuss school board association events. A closed session will follow. 410-887-4126.

Annual meeting -- The Friends of the Patapsco Valley and Heritage Greenway Inc. will hold its annual meeting to discuss the environment and culture of the Patapsco Valley at 7:30 p.m. at Catonsville public library branch, 1100 Frederick Road. 410-887- 5683, Ext. 250.

WEDNESDAY

Plan conference -- The Department of Permits and Development Management will hold a development plan conference at 9 a.m. in Room 123 of the County Office Building, 111 W. Chesapeake Ave., Towson. The proposal is for eight single-family dwellings on the east side of Offutt Road, south Liberty Road (Misteric Meadow). 410-887-3321.

School board -- Baltimore County Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. at Ridge Ruxton School, 6916 Charles St., Towson, to discuss the proposed fiscal year 2008 operating budget. Sign-up for the public begins at 6 p.m. 410-887-4126.

Community police meeting -- Baltimore County police Precinct 07 (Cockeysville) will hold a Police Community Relations council meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the MBNA Building, 11333 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley. 410- 887-1863.
