Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Armed carjacking -- Moments after picking up a man she knows near Johns Hopkins Hospital about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, a 56-year-old woman was forced from her vehicle at gunpoint by her passenger in the 1800 block of N. Milton Ave. The man drove off in the vehicle, a green 1995 Jeep Cherokee with tags 548M802.


Burglary -- A 7-month-old pug dog, an iPod, a digital camera, video games and compact discs - all valued at $3,100 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2300 block of Guilford Ave.


Armed carjacking -- A man was entering his gold-colored 2000 Jeep outside a McDonald's in the 2500 block of W. Franklin St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, pulled him out, robbed him of $79 and rode off in the vehicle, which had tags 532M027.


Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a red 1995 Dodge Caravan with tags 100M381 that was stolen Monday in the 200 block of Potee St.


Robbery try -- A 69-year-old retired federal agent was standing in line at Popeye's in the 300 block of N. Broadway about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man standing behind him tried to remove his wallet from a rear pants pocket. The former agent chased the man down the street, but stopped when the would-be thief pulled out a knife and threatened to stab him.

Robbery -- Three men assaulted a 22-year-old man in the 2600 block of E. Fayette St. about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and robbed him of his wallet containing $200 and several checks.

Baltimore County


Vandalism/arrest -- An 18-year-old was arrested early Wednesday and charged with destruction of property by spray painting the front walls and windows of several businesses, including a U.S. post office, along Harford Road between Taylor and Putty Hill avenues that morning, Damage was set at $3,100. Arrested by Officer Jay Somers and charged with nine counts of destruction of property was David Nance of the 2500 block of Wendover Road.


Robbery -- A 15-year-old boy was walking along Reisterstown Road near Hammershire Road about 3 p.m. Wednesday when another male struck him in the face and robbed him of a cell phone valued at $200.


Arson attempt -- Police were seeking the person who threw a Molotov cocktail into the rear yard of a house in the 4700 block of Byron Road early Wednesday. The device failed to ignite.
