Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.


Homicide victim identified -- Michael Cunningham, 46, of the 1400 block of Division St., was named by police yesterday as the man who was fatally shot about 6:40 p.m. Saturday in the 5200 block of Ready Ave. No arrest had been made.


Shooting -- Police responding to a reported shooting in the 4100 block of Fairview Ave. about 3 a.m. yesterday found a 24-year-old man sitting on the front porch of a house and bleeding from a bullet wound to the left leg. He was reported in good condition at Sinai Hospital.


Theft -- A laptop computer valued at $1,500 was stolen Tuesday from the rear seat of a 2006 Honda parked in the 500 block of Guilford Ave.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 1300 block of John St. in Bolton Hill on Tuesday afternoon and stole a computer, three cameras and several foreign coins -- all valued at nearly $3,000.


Shooting -- A city schools police officer was in the 1300 block of E. North Ave. about 9 p.m. Tuesday when he heard several gunshots, and a man ran up to his patrol car and yelled, "They shot me!" The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for bullet wounds to the left arm and left leg and was released. Two men observed fleeing the scene on foot were being sought.

Theft -- A cell phone valued at $350 was stolen Wednesday from a 2003 GMC Yukon parked in the 2700 block of E. Monument St.

Burglary -- On Sunday, someone entered a house in the 700 block of E. North Ave. through a window and removed a computer, two televisions and a printer -- all valued at nearly $1,200.


Robbery try/shooting -- A 24-year-old man was walking in the 3000 block of W. Baltimore St. about 3:30 a.m. yesterday when a gunman stepped from a car, placed the weapon to his head and demanded money. When the victim pushed the gun aside, the assailant shot him in the left buttock. The gunman fled without taking any money. The victim got a ride to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was treated.


Armed robbery -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a Subway in the 2000 block of Patapsco Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.


Burglary -- Two telephones and jewelry were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3600 block of E. Fayette St. by someone who entered through the front door.

Burglary -- Two safes containing an undisclosed sum of money, jewelry, passports and titles, as well as keys to several vehicles were stolen between 3 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from an office at American Limousine Inc. in the 4400 block of E. Fairmount Ave. Entry was through a window.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- Jewelry of unknown value was stolen Wednesday from the bedroom of a house in the 2000 block of Dumont Road by someone who entered through a window.


Stolen vehicle -- A bronze-colored 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix with tags LEP 573 was stolen in the 11700 block of Reisterstown Road on Monday or Tuesday.
