The Cheaters at the 8x10

The lowdown -- Get ready to rock tomorrow night at the 8x10. Annapolis-based rock 'n' rollers the Cheaters are the headliners. They released their debut full-length, self-titled album last summer. Alternative rocker Viki Nova and eighty1south, a group fronted by guitarist Jennifer Van Meter and singer Caity Lynn Fisher, will also perform.

2 Live Crew at the ottobar

The lowdown -- Sunday, 2 Live Crew is coming to the Ottobar. Yes, you read that correctly. You might remember their '80s hip-hop hit "Me So Horny" off their 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be. A combination of the group's profane lyrics and their heavy rotation on MTV earned them national attention in the late '80s and early '90s. To be honest, it's only one of the original members - Fresh Kid Ice -but he's backed up by the Me So Horny Dancers.

Dwele Saturday

The lowdown -- Detroit neo-soul artist Dwele comes to the Steel Workers Union Hall on Saturday night. Dwele has won over soul and R&B fans with his hit single "I Think I Love U." It's off his sophomore album, Some Kinda ... The 26-year-old multi-instrumentalist released his debut album Subject a couple years ago, which earned critical praise.
