Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Southwestern

Arrest -- Cathy Jackson, 39, was arrested Monday at her home in the 1700 block of N. Gay St. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging her with first-degree murder. Jackson is accused in the fatal stabbing of Freddie Thornton, 69, of the 2900 block of Winchester St., whose body was found Dec. 23 off the 4300 block of Franklintown Road in Leakin Park. Arrested Dec. 26 and also charged in Thornton's death was Timothy Izzard, 49, of the 3000 block of W. Lanvale St.

Eastern

Arrest -- Erskine Evans, 26, of the 3300 block of Auchentoroly Terrace was arrested yesterday at his attorney's downtown office for attempted murder in the Oct. 15 shooting of a man in the 1300 block of Aisquith St.

Northeastern

Arrest -- Police arrested Angela Winder, 41, at her home in the 3400 block of Ramona Ave. yesterday on a warrant charging her with attempted murder. She is charged with shooting John Bentzen, 34, on Dec. 30 in the 2900 block of Clifton Park Terrace.

Central

Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 1200 block of Bolton St. early Sunday through a front window and removed two cell phones, two wallets, a $50 gift certificate and $408. The occupants told police they heard their dog barking about 2 a.m. but did not investigate.

Northwestern

Shooting -- A 25-year-old man was about to enter an apartment building in the 2900 block of Taney Road about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, demanded his money. When the victim struggled with the unarmed man, the gunman shot him in the back. The robbers fled with no money. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Arrests -- The driver and passenger of a car stopped for traffic violations on northbound Interstate 95 about 9 a.m. yesterday by Maryland Transportation Authority Police were charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute after police observed a marijuana cigarette on the console of their rented 2006 Honda. The driver, a convicted felon, also was charged with possession of a firearm. In the car, police also found 14 grams of marijuana, 112 grams of cocaine, $4,516 and a loaded .38-caliber revolver. Held at the county detention center were the driver, Michael Damon Blocker, 23, of Brunswick, Ga., and Demetrus Lee Meggett, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Parkville

Stabbing/arrest -- Two men were arguing inside Tee Bee's Place, a nightclub in the 7100 block of Darlington Drive, about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when one stabbed the other in the stomach with a knife. The victim was reported in stable condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Arrested at the scene by Officer Joseph Bachike and charged with attempted murder was Shannon Dorrell Marshall, 19, of the 4800 block of Claybury Ave. The knife was found in a nightclub restroom.

Wilkens

Burglary -- Twenty-five CDs and jewelry -- all worth nearly $700 -- were stolen Monday from a house in the 400 block of Maiden Choice Lane by someone who entered through a rear door.

Essex

Robbery -- A 23-year-old man was walking across a field in the 600 block of Bowleys Quarters Road about 2 a.m. Sunday when he was assaulted by another male who robbed him of $450. The victim was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center for serious head and facial injuries.
