Crisis center names board members

B. Jennine Anderson and H. Russell Frisby Jr. have been named to the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center's board of directors.

Anderson, a director of the PCA Group consulting and accounting firm, serves as a member of the advisory board of the Howard County Aging and Disability Resource Center.

She is a graduate of the 1999 class of Leadership Howard County.

Frisby, an attorney at Fleischman & Walsh LLP in Washington and a Columbia resident, is a member of the board of directors of United Way of Central Maryland and of the Sandtown-Winchester Community Development Corp.

He is a former chairman of the Maryland Public Service Commission and president of CompTel (Competitive Telecommunications Association), an industry trade group.

Dhanraj named to board for Arc

Vidia Dhanraj, a resident of North Laurel, has been elected to the board of directors of The Arc of Howard County.

A member of The Arc Resource Development Committee, Dhanraj is outreach coordinator for the Multiservice Center in North Laurel and a member of the Southeast Horizon council, an advisory group to The Horizon Foundation.

The Arc provides housing, employment services, and individual and family support programs to people with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
