Greyhounds women win their first at home

Jill Glessner scored 19 points and the Loyola women's basketball team earned its first home win of the season yesterday, defeating the University of Pennsylvania, 75-63.

The victory gives the Greyhounds (6-6) a two-game win streak.

Loyola extended its 44-36 halftime lead to double digits in the second half. The Quakers (4-6) never got any closer than nine. When Penn fouled late in the game, the Greyhounds went 6-for-6 from the line.

Joey Rhoads led the Quakers with 19 points. Vika Sholokhova added 10 points for Loyola.
