As backup, Ravens' Anderson steps up

Season-ending injury to Mu. Smith increases role of veteran running back behind J. Lewis

Perhaps no one knows the value of Ravens running back Mike Anderson better than the man who plays ahead of him.

Jamal Lewis, who has started all 15 games this season as the team's featured back, said that Anderson is an important cog in the team's 12-3 record and pointed out that Anderson's contributions are even more significant with the loss of fellow tailback Musa Smith.
