Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Assault by threat -- A 58-year-old man was walking in the 1300 block of Bolton St. about 5:30 p.m. Thursday when he was stopped by a man who asked for money. When the victim said he had none, the man implied he was armed and said, "Then I'm going to have to shoot you." The victim fled.


Arrest -- A man sought in the shooting of a man in the 1800 block of Vine St. on Dec. 15 surrendered to police at the district station Thursday. Troy Mazyck, 31, of the 1800 block of W. Lexington St. is accused of shooting the 43-year-old victim in the left arm and a hip during an argument.

Robbery -- A pizza deliveryman was about to deliver food to a house in the 1500 block of Moreland Ave. about 11 p.m. Tuesday when two males, one with a handgun, robbed him of more than $100.


Armed robbery -- Two men, one armed with a semiautomatic handgun, robbed Smitty's Place in the 1000 block of S. Charles St. of an undisclosed sum of money about 3 p.m. Wednesday after ordering employees and customers to the floor of the tavern. As the robbers were leaving, an employee retrieved a handgun from under the counter and fired a shot that missed the robbers.

Robbery -- A gunman entered Ritchie Pharmacy in the 3700 block of Potee St. about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, went behind the drug-department counter and ordered an employee to give him several containers of drugs from the shelves and money from the cash register.

Baltimore County

North Point

Burglary -- Someone entered a home in the 1400 block of Delvale Ave. on Thursday through a rear kitchen door and removed jewelry from a bedroom and presents from under a Christmas tree. The loss was estimated as at least $1,600.

Theft/arrest -- A 17-year-old girl from Edgemere was arrested Tuesday when she tried to leave Rave's at Eastpoint Mall without paying for clothing valued at $25. She was charged as a juvenile and released to her parents.


Burglary/arrests -- Two teenagers were arrested early Wednesday in Parkville High School in the 2600 block of Putty Hill Ave. after an alarm sounded while vending machines were being broken into. Charged with burglary were Daante Cooper, 18, of the 4400 block of Haddon Ave. and Dale Brown, 19, of no fixed address.


Stolen vehicle -- A silver four-door 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with tags MMS 157 was stolen Wednesday in the first block of Ridgelawn Road.


Robbery -- A 19-year-old man was standing at a bus stop at Ingleside Avenue and Craigmont Road about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of a cell phone and a shopping bag containing a pair of shoes and a pair of boots.


Armed robbery -- Two men, one of whom implied that he had a handgun, robbed a Jiffy Lube in the 6100 block of Baltimore National Pike of an undisclosed sum of money about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
