Poetry and song -- The UU Chalice Series of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia will present "The Poet Sings," a concert by tenor Byron Jones (right) and pianist Michael Adcock (left), at 8 p.m. Jan. 13 at Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia. On the program are works by Schumann, Poulenc and Britten, accompanied by texts written by Eichendorff, Eluard, Apollinaire and Yeats. Adcock, who directs the concert series, will offer a preconcert lecture at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance; $10 for students. There is a $3 surcharge for tickets purchased at the door. Children to age 12 are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Patron tickets are $25. 410-381-0097.
