December 29, 2006|By Nick Shields

A Glyndon woman shot in a domestic dispute was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, while police identified another woman, who apparently killed herself after the initial shooting.

Amalia Palmeiro, 42, of the 200 block of Pennington Ave. was found dead in the driveway of her home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after a dispute with Candace Treadway, 44, of the same address, officials said.

According to police, shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday police received a call for shots fired in the 200 block of Pennington Ave., officials said. When officers arrived, they found Palmeiro dead and Treadway suffering from gunshot wounds to her back and arm. Treadway was flown to Shock Trauma.
