'CHICAGO' COMES TO TOWN

The 2003 Academy Award-winning movie of Kander and Ebb's Chicago only increased interest in the Broadway revival, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. The touring production that arrives at the Hippodrome on Tuesday stars Michelle DeJean and Terra C. MacLeod, reprising their Broadway roles as publicity-seeking murderers Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly. Christopher McDonald plays lawyer Billy Flynn, and Melba Moore is prison matron "Mama" Morton. Direction is by Walter Bobbie, and choreography is by Ann Reinking.

KWANZAA FAMILY DAY

Celebrate Kwanzaa at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture Saturday. The museum's "Family Day: A Kwanzaa Celebration" presents dancing, drumming, storytelling, craft workshops, a Kwanzaa ceremony, African marketplace and more.

CONCERT

ORCHESTRA ROCKS

A rock band with a classical string section may sound like an oddity. But to fans of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, it sounds like mighty cool music. Trans-Siberian Orchestra, composed of a full hard-rock band, classical orchestral string section and multiple vocalists, plays its "Winter Holiday" concert at the 1st Mariner Arena tomorrow. With narration, pyrotechnics and a laser and light show, the group delivers contemporary adaptations of traditional holiday tunes, as well as original compositions.
