Oklahoma City probe criticized

The FBI failed to fully investigate information suggesting other suspects may have helped Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols with the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, allowing questions to linger more than a decade after the deadly attack, a congressional inquiry concludes. pg 3a

Denver returning to normal

Even with a few added flights, planes leaving Denver's beleaguered airport Christmas Eve teemed with passengers, many of whom had been stranded when a two-day blizzard shut down the runways last week. The airport's two biggest airlines said they finally flew full schedules. pg 3a

Somalia conflict escalates

Ethiopian jets pounded Islamic-held positions in southern Somalia, a sharp escalation yesterday of a conflict that diplomats fear could ignite a regional war. pg 21a

Iran remains defiant

Iran reacted defiantly yesterday to the U.N. Security Council resolution imposing sanctions on the country's nuclear program. Iranian officials vowed to continue efforts to enrich uranium and warned that the Security Council action would change Iran's relationship with the United Nations' nuclear monitoring agency. pg 21a


Ravens cruise past Steelers

Steve McNair threw three touchdown passes and the Ravens (12-3) matched a franchise record for victories in a season set by their Super Bowl championship team in 2000 and swept the season series from the Steelers with a 31-7 victory. Section D

Redskins fall to Rams in OT

Steven Jackson had a 21-yard touchdown run in overtime and Marc Bulger tied his career best with four touchdown passes as the St. Louis Rams earned a 37-31 victory over the Washington Redskins. pg 10d
