Bowl -- New Orleans Bowl

Matchup -- Rice (7-5) vs. Troy (7-5)

Site -- Superdome, New Orleans

Time, TV -- 8 p.m., ESPN2

Key stats -- Rice sophomore WR Jarett Dillard (98.0 ypg) led the nation with 20 TD receptions. Troy is 70th in the nation in pass defense (207.3 ypg) and has allowed 15 TD passes.

The game -- This is Troy's second bowl game in three seasons, while Rice is making its first bowl appearance since 1961. Under new coach Todd Graham (he had been Tulsa's defensive coordinator), Rice - which has won six in a row - junked its triple-option attack and instead converted to the spread. Starting QB Chase Clement is expected to play despite a collarbone injury. The Trojans have struggled to run the ball consistently, though QB Omar Haugabook is a dual threat who has a strong arm.

The line -- Rice by 4.
