Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- A 19-year-old was sitting on the front steps of a house in the 3000 block of Mayfield Ave. about 12:45 p.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him at least once in the stomach. The victim was reported in serious condition at a hospital.


Gun found -- Police patrolling a parking garage in the 200 block of E. Baltimore St. about 2 a.m. Tuesday spotted a .45-caliber handgun on the floor of a car. Police said the gun contained armor-piercing rounds and that a charge of possession of a deadly weapon was pending against the car owner, a Navy sailor stationed at Norfolk, Va.

Theft/arrest -- A 57-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday when she attempted to leave Family Dollar in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. without paying for a two-piece set of lingerie.


Arrest -- Stevie Ford, 17, was arrested yesterday at his home in the 5000 block of Corley Road on a warrant charging him as an adult with a Nov. 15 armed robbery.


Carjacking -- Several people were getting out of a gold 2001 Oldsmobile in the 2800 block of Simmonds Ave. about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man with a gun ordered them aside and drove it away. The car had Chesapeake Bay tags 5356BY.


Robbery -- A 36-year-old woman walking in the 1400 block of W. Lexington St. was accosted by a gunman Tuesday night and robbed of $40.

Baltimore County


Armed robbery -- A gunman entered Electronics Boutique Gameworld in the 10300 block of Reisterstown Road about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, bound four males with telephone cord and fled with video games and cash.


Burglary -- Jewelry and a digital video disc player were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 6900 block of Lacklan Circle.


Robbery -- A man armed with a knife robbed Royal Farms in the 1300 block of Windlass Drive of about $100 and a pack of cigarettes about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.

White Marsh

Theft -- Someone entered a cabinet in the basement of an apartment building in the 5600 block of Arnhem Road between Monday and Wednesday and stole $600.
