After completing final exams, the Navy football team practiced yesterday for the first time since beating Army on Dec. 2, and the Midshipmen agreed on two things. They need to get back to being in game shape, and their upcoming challenge in the Meineke Car Care Bowl on Dec. 30 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., is huge - literally.
Boston College (9-3) earned a bowl berth for a school-record eighth straight year with junior quarterback Matt Ryan leading the way with a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performance. Ryan has thrown for 2,700 yards and 14 touchdowns and has completed 61.1 percent of his attempts. He has thrown just eight interceptions in 398 passes.
