Stockton, Calif. -- Four days and 2,778 miles made all the difference.

The Blast fell to the California Cougars, 12-10, last night at Stockton Arena before 3,530. The Blast had a difficult time mustering any offense for three quarters against a team they had whipped, 22-6, at home Saturday night. The Blast was done in by two power-play goals and could not finish off a fourth-quarter rally. The Blast (4-3) was called for eight penalties during the game and coach Danny Kelly said "we beat ourselves."
