Rogers struggles to develop into shutdown cornerback Redskins envisioned

December 15, 2006|By Don Markus | Don Markus,Sun reporter

ASHBURN, Va. -- Shawn Springs made the Pro Bowl twice in his first three years with the Seattle Seahawks. It took Troy Vincent eight years, and a trade from the Miami Dolphins to the Philadelphia Eagles, but once he made it to his first Pro Bowl, in 2000, he went for five straight seasons.

That gives the Washington Redskins two former Pro Bowl players in their secondary, but do they have a future Pro Bowl cornerback in Carlos Rogers?
