Choir presents `Miracle of Love'

The Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church choir will present the Christmas cantata, "Miracle of Love," at the 10:15 a.m. worship today at 38 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown.

Choral composer Stan Pethel's cantata tells the story of Christmas through song and narration. Soloists will include Debbie Strine and Carol Hansborough, and father and daughter duo Steve and Keri Scheller.

Child care, a children's sermon and video, and refreshments after the service will be available.

Grace United offers nugget of history

Grace United Church of Christ will present a "Snip-it of Grace United Church of Christ's History" for its 250th anniversary at the 10:15 a.m. worship today.

This week's history nugget focuses on the handicapped accessible addition to the main building in 1998. An elevator, handicapped accessible restrooms, a youth meeting room and nursery were built.

Later, the church took over the ownership and management of the day care center, which is now Grace United Learning Center.

The church is at 40 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown.

Children's program, dinner slated

Grace United Methodist Church will hold its annual children's Christmas program at 4:30 p.m. today at 4618 Black Rock Road, Upperco.

The children's program in the sanctuary will tell the story of Jesus' birth in song, word and action.

A fellowship dinner will be held afterward in the social hall.

The sanctuary choir will present its annual musical celebration of Christ's birth, Christmas Sing Noel, at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 17.

Dinner and holiday programs offered

Greenmount United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas dinner and holiday programs today at 2001 Hanover Pike.

The dinner will be at 5 p.m. and those attending should take a dish to share.

At 6:30 p.m., the children's Christmas program will be held in the sanctuary, along with the Bell Choir concert.

Ministerium sponsors caroling

The Pipe Creek Ministerium will sponsor Advent caroling at 6:30 p.m. today.

A bus will leave Edgewood Church of the Brethren on Route 31 in New Windsor and travel to Linwood Brethren Church on McKinstry's Mill Road, Union Bridge United Methodist Church on Main Street, and back to Edgewood Brethren.

Faith Lutheran to hold Advent Service

Faith Lutheran Church will hold an Advent service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg.

Live nativity to be presented

Faith Lutheran Church will present its annual narrated live nativity at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 17 at 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg.

Costumed performers and live animals will highlight the event. Free refreshments will be served afterward in the fellowship hall.
